St. Elizabeth's Church Hall was first opened in August 1989 and amongst the many donations and gifts was the annual sponsored walk to help raise the money to pay it off!! Many people have lots of very happy and not so happy memories of those marathons, but the end result was worthwhile!
The Hall is available to hire to members of the community
and the downstairs area is fully accessible to the disabled.
There is a large downstairs room with polished flooring,
high curtained windows and storage boxes around the side.
There are large, long, fold away tables and chairs available to use.
(these need booking as they are now stored in a shed to increase the Hall space).
There is a small separate adjoining room / meeting area
(for hanging outdoor coats etc.)
with access to the kitchen (which has a serving hatch into the main hall).
There are male, female and disabled toilets.
Upstairs is a smaller carpeted room
with several tables and some chairs.
Phase 1 of our refurbishment was completed in December 2010
with a newly lowered ceiling and fresh decoration.
Phase 2 has just been completed in July 2011
with a newly refurbished kitchen.
